How to Use Your Internet Portal
When you venture over to the Heritage Highland & RetireTucson Portal, you will find it to be full of adventures to try out! The Portal opens in it's own window so you can easily get back to where you were. On the left side is the Navigation Bar hooking you up to the many things we have for you to play with and enjoy on the site.
NOTE the blue words underlined are links to the items being discussed. I set this up so a new page opens when you click the link. That way when you are done you can close the page and be right back where you left.
Please Register so that you get the rights to add things on the site. You will also need to register on the various modules that have been attached to the portal. In order to control who has access to these elements and to track who put what where you need to register. We only do this to control the content as best we can. Anyone can register and you only need your name and an emaill address to confirm that you are the one registering. We WILL NOT BE using your address for offers or junk of any sort. Check out our simple privacy page.
THIS IS A 2 WAY STREET >> Your Way mostly! So Register and become a member, so you can participate actively, get the things we offer and share the things you know about Tucson. The content on the portal will be your content, members of the portal, like you.
FEEDBACK - Please let us know what you need and want. We want to know where we have fallen short. This is a big project and we are just beginning with it.
Perhaps you want to write a journal of your life or about your daily activities or just be creative. We have made that available to you and it can be public or private or part and part. Your Stories will be in your space where you can share it or keep it private.
BLOG - Everyone is getting into BOLGing (Web Log) or being able to say their piece to the world. Why Not? So Here you go. Our blog is seen by the search engines too so your stuff will be findable online as time goes along.
Reviews - If you have a passion, you wish to share. Perhaps you see all the new movies. Here is a way to share your thoughts about them and write a review your peers will read. Maybe you are a wine lover and you wish to share your new find or long term favorites with those who want to learn and experiment. BOOKS - Parks - Shows... Become a reviewer - it is so easy.
This site is interactive, it allows you to SUBMIT NEWS for publishing on the site. We don't have an adgenda here except that we don't want to offend people with language or images. If you take the time to write a story, we will put it up for you. This isn't about language, spelling or any of that....don't care...it's about people and what they have to say. Typically, people with english as a second language do not write as well as we single language people do, but I appreciate their insight and knowledge and accept their attempt to write in my language. Interactive means you can do things that will be on the site - add your input to surveys - request surveys - Start discussions and join them as well.
You are as close to being webmaster as we can make you. Please write stories about things you are doing and what you find that is fun to do. Maybe you want to get a few more members to play cards or shoot pool, watch football or golf.
There is a CHAT SITE that you and your friends can try out! Just type in a name and password (You only need the password if you are registered) Then go for it. The conversations linger for several days. Private rooms are also available. Chat is fun and can be joined by people on the internet anywhere. Just remember non registered people are usually not who they say they are and expect a lie or a fib in every line. At least most of the time - Some People love this aspect and if you understand it and want to have a mini adventure of your own go ahead. Just don't go meeting them off line without the biggest guy you know tailing you. Other wise REGISTER and be yourself. Private rooms can easily be setup or join the active rooms
The RetireTucson Portal will be what you - OUR USERS - make it!
It will be small to begin with. We will need people to be the cornerstone of this creation. People who are active and verbose!. Or just some people who like to share their stories, passions, hobbies with others. This is where you can show your abilities and knowledge by helping others with their problems on the forum. We will be trying to get our sponsoring members to contribute to the forums by answering questions that you ask. This is a way for them to give back to the community that supports them. At first the forum will be general and as the questions define topics, we will create a new forum topics

We have shown you what we can do and that isn't it. We can do more. We would like to make sure you are having fun and finding the things you need in Tucson.
